Answers

Frequently asked questions

What to expect from a decision-first second opinion and what you need before you call.

Is there a cost for this review?

No. The 10-minute Decision Triage and the Decision Review are free and carry no obligation. Life Decision Desk is a licensed insurance agency. If you later choose to purchase coverage through us, an insurance company may compensate the agency. The review itself costs you nothing, and it may conclude that no purchase is appropriate.

Will I be pressured to buy something?

No. No application begins during Decision Triage unless you request it, and Keep, Adjust, or Wait are conclusions we reach every day. You control the pace: no surprise calls, no follow-up you didn't ask for.

Do you work for an insurance company?

No. We are a licensed insurance agency and are not employed by any single carrier. We do not represent every insurer or policy available, and we tell you plainly how we may be compensated before any decision is made.

How long does a review take?

Most first conversations take about 20-30 minutes. A straightforward term-policy question may take less; a permanent policy or replacement comparison can take longer because we want to review the assumptions and tradeoffs carefully.

Do I need my policy documents?

Not to start. Tell us what decision you are considering and what you know about the policy. If you have a policy summary, recent annual statement, or sales illustration, keep it nearby; the exact premiums, guarantees, cash values, and charges help us give you a more precise second opinion.

What states are you licensed in?

Licensed in 49 states, except New York. If you live in New York, we cannot provide a licensed review from this desk; elsewhere in the U.S. we connect you with an appropriately licensed life insurance agent.
