You control whether we call
Life Decision Desk is built around consumer-requested conversations, not surprise marketing calls. This policy applies to telephone calls and text messages made by us or on our behalf. You decide whether to speak with an agent, when a call may occur, and when all further calling must stop. A second-opinion review is free, and permission to call is never a condition of purchasing anything.
Numbers we may call
We place an outbound call only when you have requested or scheduled that call, or when we have an existing business relationship with the person associated with the number and applicable law permits the contact. An existing relationship may arise when you previously asked us to review a policy or are receiving a service from us; it isn't permission to call forever.
We don't cold-call purchased lead lists, dial a number merely because it appears in a public directory, or treat a visit to our website as consent to call. We use the number only for the purpose reasonably connected to your appointment, request, or existing relationship, and we observe applicable limits on calling hours and frequency.
Do-not-call requests take effect immediately
You may ask us not to call at any time, even if you previously scheduled a review, gave permission, or have an existing relationship with us. Tell any Life Decision Desk agent that you don't want further calls. No special wording, written letter, reason, or fee is required. The agent will immediately record the number on our internal do-not-call list and stop promotional, review-reminder, and follow-up calls to that number.
A do-not-call request overrides an earlier invitation or business relationship. We'll call that number again only if you later make a new, specific request for a call or if a non-marketing communication is required by law. Asking a policy question by another method doesn't by itself cancel your do-not-call status.
No robocalls or automated marketing texts
Our review calls are placed by people. Life Decision Desk doesn't use prerecorded or artificial-voice robocalls, ringless voicemail, or an automatic telephone dialing system to make marketing calls. We also don't send autodialed or prerecorded marketing text messages. Scheduling a review authorizes the person-to-person call you selected; it isn't blanket consent for automated outreach or unrelated promotions.
How to opt out
You can make a do-not-call request in either of two ways:
- Call (800) 123-4567 during our 9 AM - 5 PM MDT hours and ask to have your number placed on our do-not-call list.
- During any conversation, tell the agent not to call again. The agent who receives the request is responsible for recording it; you don't need to contact a separate department.
Identify each telephone number you want suppressed if more than one number is associated with you. We may confirm the number so that we block the correct record, but we won't require unrelated personal information. If you believe a call occurred after your request, contact us at the number above so we can investigate and correct the calling record promptly.
Federal and state compliance
We maintain calling practices and an internal do-not-call process intended to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules, the Federal Trade Commission's Telemarketing Sales Rule, the National Do Not Call Registry, and applicable state telephone-solicitation and privacy laws. Where a state rule gives you greater protection, we follow the more protective requirement.
We train agents to recognize and honor opt-out language, restrict access to our calling systems, and retain do-not-call records for the period required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy waives a right or remedy available to you under the TCPA, FCC rules, or state law.
