Our approach to privacy
Life Decision Desk provides decision-first, licensed second-opinion reviews of life-insurance decisions. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use lifedecisiondesk.com or speak with us about a review. We designed our process to be simple: there's no account to create, and we ask only for information relevant to the conversation you requested.
Information you choose to share
When you book online, we collect the contact and scheduling information needed to reserve and deliver the call. We also collect information you voluntarily share by phone when you contact us or participate in a scheduled review. Depending on how you use the service, that may include:
- Your name, email address, telephone number, preferred appointment, confirmed time zone, and state of residence.
- Your coverage goals, family or business protection needs, budget, and concerns about a purchase, replacement, or cancellation.
- Policy details you describe, such as the insurer, policy type, death benefit, premium, riders, cash value, loan balance, or values shown in an illustration.
- General age, health, tobacco-use, or underwriting information when it is relevant and you choose to discuss it.
- Notes from the conversation and, when applicable, a recording of the call.
Share only what you're comfortable discussing. Keep any optional online booking note high level; don't submit policy numbers, medical details, Social Security numbers, passwords, bank account details, or payment card numbers through the booking form. We don't need those items to reserve or perform a free second-opinion review.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to perform the review you requested: to understand your circumstances, evaluate the policy or proposal you describe, explain tradeoffs, prepare comparisons or stress-test scenarios, answer your questions, and provide only the follow-up you authorize. We may also use review records to document our recommendations, supervise our licensed life insurance agents, maintain service quality, and meet insurance-licensing, legal, and regulatory obligations.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don't provide it to unrelated businesses for their own marketing. We may give limited access to service providers that support our telephone, scheduling, or secure record systems, subject to confidentiality and use restrictions. We may also disclose information when required by law, a court, or an insurance regulator, or when reasonably necessary to protect you, Life Decision Desk, or others from fraud or harm. If you later ask us to get a quote or help with an application, we'll explain any carrier-specific information sharing before it occurs.
How information is shared
Some calls may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, agent training, accurate recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance. When a call will be recorded, we provide notice at the beginning of the call and get any consent required by applicable law. If you don't want the conversation recorded, tell the agent before continuing; we'll stop the recording or arrange an unrecorded call. Recordings aren't sold or used for unrelated advertising, and access is limited to people who need them for the purposes described here.
Retention and security
We retain booking records, call notes, contact details, delivery status, and any recording only as long as reasonably necessary to complete the requested review, provide authorized follow-up, document our work, resolve a dispute, and satisfy applicable insurance and recordkeeping requirements. Because those requirements vary by state and by the nature of the conversation, different records may have different retention periods. When information is no longer required, we delete it or make it anonymous under our record retention rules.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including access controls for review records. No telephone or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit collection and access so that less information is exposed in the first place.
Your choices and rights
You may decline to answer a question, end a review, withdraw permission for follow-up, or ask us to correct inaccurate contact or policy information. You may also ask to access or delete personal information associated with your review, subject to identity verification and any records we must retain by law. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply. We won't deny a free review or treat you unfairly because you made a good-faith privacy request.
To stop telephone outreach, tell any agent or follow our Do Not Call Policy. A privacy request doesn't authorize us to call you for marketing purposes.
Updates and contact
Call (800) 123-4567 and tell the agent that you have a privacy question or request. We're available from 9 AM - 5 PM MDT. We may ask for enough information to confirm that the request concerns you and to locate the correct call record, but we won't require more information than is reasonably necessary for that purpose.
